Instructions for Maintaining Football
Equipment
Helmet:
To clean the helmet, use a damp cloth with mild
detergent (I.e Dawn). Using another clean damp cloth, remove the
detergent. Then dry with a clean dry cloth.

ABSOLUTELY NO WAX OR CHEMICALS TO
BE USED ON HELMET.

DO NOT DISASSEMBLE HELMET

ASK FOR COACHES HELP IF THERE IS A
CONCERN OR PROBLEM.
Mouth piece:
Using a toothbrush, use warm water and
toothpaste. Clean regularly.
Shoulder pads:
Using warm water on a cloth (damp, not
wet) and a mild detergent (I.e. Dawn). Using another clean damp
cloth, remove the detergent. Then dry completely with a clean dry
cloth.

SHOULDER PADS

DO NOT DISASSEMBLE SHOULDER PADS --- ASK FOR
COACHES HELP IF

THERE IS A CONCERN OR PROBLEM.
Jersey:
Squirt SHOUT on the soiled stains, let set
a few minutes (as instructed on bottle), turn Jersey inside out and
wash in cold water on a mild cycle. For best results :
Either place Jersey on a flat surface or hang on a tubular hanger
and air dry.
Football Pants:
DO NOT WASH PANTS WITH THE PANTS PADS
IN TACT. Each pair of pants has
7 pads: 2 hip, 1 tailbone, 2
thigh and 2 knee. REMOVE THESE PADS FIRST!!!
Continue the wash process by using the "Jersey"
instructions above.
Should you feel there
is a problem with the equipment, do NOT attempt to repair or fix
on your own … ask for a Goddard Lion Jr. Football administration
for assistance.
This equipment will be used by yourself or others in
the years to come. Take pride in this equipment, you could be using
it again next year. |
